Mairtín Crawford Awards for Short Story & Poetry

The Belfast Book Festival is proud to present the Mairtin Crawford Awards for Poetry and Short Story 2019.

The awards are aimed at writers working towards their first full collection of poetry, short stories, or a novel, to celebrate the life and work of Belfast poet Mairtín Crawford. The judges for The Poetry Award are Moyra Donaldson, Paul Maddern and Matt Kirkham. Short-story writer Wendy Erskine is judging The Short Story Award.

Join us for the prize-giving where the judges will announce the winners who will then read from their winning submissions.

This year's winners will receive £500, a three night stay at The River Mill and advice from the editors of The Tangerine to work towards publication in the magazine.

We would like to thank sincerely our sponsors NIPR Books and The River Mill for all their wonderful support.
