Paper Garlands with Linda O’Kane

Although it may seem insulting or downright outrageous in the context of a Book Festival to even consider disassembling books, give a new lease of life to your unwanted or damaged books, by upcycling them into fun, decorative paper garlands. 

Using punched shapes, and a combination of text or image from a book, you will string the shapes together using a needle and thread.

The garlands can also be a fun way to decorate for a party or string lots together to make a curtain.

Materials will be provided but if you have some old books you would like to use, bring them along.

You will also need to bring some small scissors.
