Meet the panelists
Paul Howard is an award-winning children’s author and illustrator, best known for illustrating The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and the Burpee Bears series with Joe Wicks. Over a 35-year career, he has collaborated with leading writers including Michael Rosen and Allan Ahlberg, earning honours such as a Blue Peter Award. Former Children’s Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland, Paul continues to create books, deliver workshops, and share his work with audiences across the UK and Ireland.
Illustrators North is a professional organisation founded by award-winning illustrators Ashwin Chacko and Clive McFarland with the vision to build a community of thriving illustrators in Northern Ireland.
