In 2018, the 8th Belfast Book Festival delivered an eclectic programme of events which combined a whole host of literary delights.

The programme which was developed with all in mind. Covering a wide range of interests and exploring topical themes, the festival brought to Belfast the best international and local talent through a variety of interesting and exciting events. 

Some if the key highlights from 2018’s programme included;

Acclaimed journalist, broadcaster and former Downing Street Press Secretary and now prolific novelist Alastair Campbell; award winning comedian, writer and actress Francesca Martinez; champion motorcyclist, truck racer and television presenter Steve Parrish; adventurer, environmentalist, speaker and writer Huw Kingston; best-selling author on the subjects of Nutrition and Health, The Medicinal Chef Dale Pinnock; Sky Sports journalist and author of best-selling biographies on Pep Guardiola, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi Guillem Balagué and Internationally renowned speaker, mathematician, scientist and philosopher John Lennox.

This year also saw the first ever Lit Crawl Belfast. The area known as the Queen’s Quarter came alive with quirky literary happenings in unusual venues to make an evening of fast-paced pop-up events across the area.
