This Belfast Book Festival is delighted to be partnering with Dublin Book Festival 2022 for a conversation on the nature of Impermanence.
Impermanence is a collection of twelve essays by writers from or living in Northern Ireland. The book is edited by author Neil Hegarty, and Nora Hickey M'Sichili, Director of the Centre Culturel Irlandais (CCI), Paris.
The editors will be in conversation with two contributors: Henrietta McKervey and Kerri ní Dochartaigh. Panellists will reflect upon the book’s themes and suggest ways of looking at our past, present and future, as we live through a period of unparalleled change.
Impermanence was commissioned by the CCI and published by No Alibis Press. These essays are written against the backdrop of Brexit, the Covid pandemic and the centenary of the partition of Ireland.
Impermanence was supported by Culture Ireland, DFA, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, and British Council in Northern Ireland.
This event is in Dublin and has been programmed in partnership with Dublin Book Festival.
