A talk with Frances Green: Flowers at the Frontline

Literary Lunch

Flowers at the Frontline considers the role of women and the part they and fresh flowers played in boosting morale at home and overseas.

Join Frances Green as she recounts one woman from Belfast’s extraordinary journey across the Irish border, to North Africa and Italy where she served on the front lines of the Second World War. This captivating talk shines a light on some little known aspects of social history - and flower arranging!

Thanks to the Imperial War Museum (IWM) for the use of the photograph.
