Join us for the launch of two exciting new poetry collections by Glen Wilson and Moyra Donaldson, with introductions by Mel McMahon and Damian Smyth.
Glen Wilson’s debut collection An Experience on the Tongue take us on a journey around the world, all the while revelling in the natural world and a whole host of characters from linesmen to archaeologists to distillery workers. Glen Wilson is the winner of the 2017 Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing and his poem about the Irish Football Association was broadcast on Sky.
Moyra Donaldson’s eighth collection Carnivorous draws on myth, nature and memory to illuminate the extraordinary in the ordinary. The poet expands upon her previous themes of fluidity of the self and time, making sense of humanities need for order, in intimate, beautiful poems. Moyra Donaldson is an award winning and critically acclaimed poet and creative writing facilitator.
