Join Gerald Dawe as he takes us on a unique trip through Belfast and beyond.
This journey explores the relationship between northern writers and popular music in an illustrated talk that is soulful and inventive as it dives into the work of Michael Longley, Van Morrison, Derek Mahon, Jimmy Kennedy, Stuart Parker, Leontia Flynn, Lucy Caldwell and Geraldine Quigley, to explore the mystic world of poetry and music.
Gerald Dawe has published over twenty books of poetry and prose since his first collection, Sheltering Places, was published in 1978. He is currently completing Looking Through You: Northern Chronicles, a sequel to In Another World: Van Morrison and Belfast (2017). A new poetry collection will be published later this year. He taught for many years at Trinity College Dublin.
