Readings
Join us for an afternoon of readings from the Festival’s Young Writer Delegates, a programme led by the Irish Writers Centre.
Come along and discover some incredible new voices in Ireland’s literary scene! The young writers are mentored by Dierdre Cartmill, who will MC this showcase event and introduce the creative pieces that the Delegates have written and developed during the festival.
More about the programme: for the second time, the Irish Writers Centre has partnered with Belfast Book Festival for the Young Writer Delegates Programme, where four selected writers between the ages of 18 and 26 attend events, reflect on their experiences and soak up the festival atmosphere. The writers are mentored by a local writer who facilitates a workshop with the Delegates, and provides guidance in succeeding in and enjoying life as a writer.
The Irish Writers Centre is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.
