Late Night Art: Drink & Draw

Late Night Art

It’s Late Night Art in Belfast

Join Illustrators North for a fairytale inspired Drink and Draw at Belfast Book Festival.

Using fun prompts, pens, markers, and cool art materials, you’ll help to create a collaborative drawing. It’s all about drawing freely, just like you did as children, and unlocking the world of your imagination. Let’s create a new fairytale together.

No drawing experience necessary and materials are provided.

Late Night Art at The Crescent Arts Centre is curated by artist Amy Oritz.

Illustrators North is a professional organisation founded by award-winning illustrators Ashwin Chacko and Clive McFarland with the vision to build a community of thriving illustrators in Northern Ireland. “As illustrators, we often work in isolation so we end up being isolated from the industry. The truth is we need community to grow and thrive to push us outside our comfort zone so we can be better and contribute to strengthening our industry.”

Amy Ortiz is a Belfast-based visual artist specialising in digital illustration and print design. A 2022 graduate of Communication Design from Glasgow School of Art, they have since produced a variety of creative print commissions for local charities and businesses. Alongside their ongoing freelance work, including as 2024/25 Late Night Art Curator at The Crescent Arts Centre, Amy is currently pursuing a Master’s in Arts Management with a focus on thoughtful and inclusive arts practices.
