Priya is back! She’s Mistry by name, and mysteries are her game . . .

In Festival 2024 it was Priya and the Paw Prints Puzzle, in Festival 2025 we bring you Priya and the Lost Treasure! When items of lost property start appearing around her family’s corner shop, it’s a job for Priya Mistry to solve!

Join author Babita Sharma for a reading that will bring Priya to life, and you’ll also be invited to do some Priya-inspired activities with our drama facilitator Andrea Grimason.  

This session is with Partner SchoolFane Street Primary School, but is open to all! 

 

Babita Sharma is an award-winning Author, Journalist and Broadcaster and the author of the critically acclaimed non-fiction book The Corner Shop and the children's book series The Adventures of Priya Mistry.

A former BBC News Anchor, Babita spent ten years covering major global stories for BBC World News, including Cop 27, the Covid-19 pandemic, the US Elections 2020, the Black Lives Matter protests and the award-winning BBC 100 Women series.

Andrea Grimason is a drama practitioner and facilitator specialising in work with young people, running the Crescent’s Youth Theatre for over a decade and leading on the Centre’s work with Partner Schools. Andrea creates performance work that has strong physical and ensemble elements with the focus on creating energy, creative community and the freedom of expression.
