Serena Terry, creator of viral Tiktok sensation, @MammyBanter, has brought audiences a warts-and-all novel about modern motherhood - The Secret Life of an Uncool Mum (Harper Collins, March 2022). Join Serena in conversation with bestselling author Claire Allan (her debut thriller Her Name was Rose has sold more than a quarter of a million copies). Expect conversations on writing, on managing mental health, on supporting each other; on being honest about the hilarious, frustrating, endearing and chaotic intricacies of life.

Serena Terry started posting TikTok videos during lockdown in 2020, to share the hilarious ups and downs of life as a busy working mum, trapped in her house with the kids. In just over 12 months, she has over 22 million views across her platforms and over a million followers: 850K on TikTok, 188K on Instagram, 400K on Facebook, and growing! Her warts-and-all humour resonates with mothers and parents across the globe, who love her frankness and fearless takes on living with teenagers, parenting boys, parenting girls, how to mortify your children and how to annoy your husband (amongst many other hilarious subjects).

Comedian, writer and public speaker, Serena Terry, known as Mammy Banter, has taken the social media world by storm. She lives in Derry with her husband and two kids.

Claire Allan is a bestselling author from Derry. A former journalist, she published eight contemporary women’s fiction titles before changing genre and to write domestic noir in 2018. Her debut thriller Her Name Was Rose has sold more than a quarter of a million copies. When not writing thrillers, she can be found penning romantic comedies under her alias of Freya Kennedy. Claire is currently working on a TV adaptation of her 2020 novel The Liar’s Daughter with Hat Trick Productions, and as a story consultant for the new BBC cop drama Blue Lights.
