Fiction
Speculative fiction allows us to imagine how the world will be in the future, using a combination of fantasy and educated guesses to build a dystopia or utopia. What can this form of writing reveal about our world today?
Join us for an engaging, thought-provoking workshop led by Belfast writer and playwright Rosemary Jenkinson, whose debut dystopian novel, The Memorisers (Arlen House, 2025), is a blistering portrayal of World War III.
Through guided writing exercises, you’ll generate ideas for believable worlds that reflect on modern day society.
