The Belfast Book Festival is pleased to welcome champion motorcyclist, truck racer and television presenter Steve Parrish to the city for an evening discussing his hell-raising account of life - and death - in the fast lane.

Joining us fresh from the TT Races, My Life As A Racer - Parrish Times tracks Steve’s amazing journey over the last four decades, through a rollercoaster ride of emotions in surely the most dangerous and exhilarating sporting arena there is.

From competing for the world motorcycle championship on a Suzuki in the 1970s, to managing a successful Yamaha factory team to three British Superbike Championship titles and starting a successful truck racing career in the 1980s, the book traces his life on and off the track up until and after his retirement in 2002 when a successful career as sports presenter and pundit began.
