Family

We start the weekend of Belfast Book Festival with activities for young people! Come along and join us for fun and frolics; there’s also books to read in the Cafe and excellent coffee. Click here to explore family activity at festival.

Join Paul Linnet, co-creator of the bestselling Supertato picture books, in a riotous celebration of everyone’s favourite supermarket superhero!

In a session that guarantees stories, silliness, songs and giggles galore, don’t miss this read-and-sing-along veggie adventure for all the family.

Hap-pea birthday to you,

Mashed potato and poo.

Hap-pea birthday, dear NITWIT,

Hap-pea birthday to you!

Paul Linnet was born in Brighton and grew up in the Midlands, reading Tintin and playing classic 80s video games, before becoming obsessed with scribbling, writing, guitars and motorcycles. He studied Graphic Design at Derby University, and later moved back to Brighton where he met Sue Hendra.

They made up a story about a fish with fingers and then a slug with a doughnut for a shell, and now no one can stop them from writing more and more frankly ridiculous books, including the bestselling Supertato series. Paul still loves scribbling, writing, guitars and motorcycles.
