The Crescent is home to Northern Ireland’s leading literary festival, the Belfast Book Festival. Featuring a unique, diverse and highly creative programme, each year the Festival caters for a wide range of interests and explores many topical themes.

With over 80 diverse events taking place in venues across the city, we are delighted to have assembled a great line-up for our 9th Belfast Book Festival.
This years festival has been designed with all in mind and will welcome both celebrated international authors and poets, as well as showcasing the wealth of local talent that defines our thriving literary community.
Books matter, authors matter and words matter. They must be cherished and championed. This is the ethos with which we have proudly programmed this year’s Belfast Book Festival.
